About the Journal

The Medical Humanities Journal, founded in 2020, in the light of the most advanced studies, aims to bring into dialogue the most recent findings of the contemporary pedagogical debate and the knowledge of personal care in the field of Medical Humanities. The journal focuses on Narrative Medicine, an interdisciplinary field in constant evolution and characterised by a wealth of views and contributions. As medicine is not an exact science, the study of medical and health professions requires a complex and interdisciplinary approach, aimed at reflexively transforming the contexts of professional practice through a narrative perspective.

MHMN is published semi-annually, in Open Access mode and is classified by Anvur as a Scientific Journal for Area 11.

MHMN is ranked "A" in the Scientific Subject Fields "11/PAED-01" and "11/PAED-02" (Education, History of Education; Didactics, Special Needs Education, and Education Research) by the Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of the University and Research systems.
