The article traces the development of scientific pedagogy as a radical turning point in the field of educational studies, highlighting both the historical and social context in which this shift began, and the fundamental role played by core disciplines such as biology, the sociology of education, and experimental psychology. In this transition, pedagogy gradually redefines its epistemological status, asserting its autonomy not only from the metaphysical-religious tradition and from philosophy, becoming a theoretically autonomous discipline.
