Picture books are practical educational tools for fostering inclusive childhood imaginaries, especially regarding disability. This paper presents the FAIR (Framework for Authentic and Inclusive Representation), designed to help teachers and educators critically select picture books that offer realistic, respectful, and stereotype-free representations of disability.
